Feature of the Month / Behind-the-Scenes - "The Quiet Canadians"

Halifax Location Scout: We’re excited to announce that our location scouting in Halifax is set! We’ll be spending two days with an experienced Location Manager exploring potential sites. The beautiful and diverse landscapes of Halifax offer the perfect backdrop for our story. We are prepping a featurette behind the scenes episode detailing our location scout trip. Think "Anthony Bourdain travelogue with a filmmaking location scout angle." If you have any places you'd like us to check out in Halifax, please reply and let us know. Also, check out "Join our Journey to Halifax" on our website for updates and ways you can participate!

Casting Update: We’re in full "casting" mode for our lead role. While we’re in discussions with several talented candidates, finding the perfect fit for our Canadian spy is a meticulous process. When the time comes, we will be very excited to unveil our main cast!

Production Timeline: We’re aiming to begin filming in Spring 2025. As our plans and preparations solidify, this timeline feels very achievable. We’re currently seeking sponsors and investors, offering exclusive perks like VIP days on set, premiere tickets, and dinners with the producers and key cast members.

YouTube Series: We are beginning a new YouTube series, taking you behind the scenes of the development of "The Quiet Canadians". What question(s) do you have related to the development and making of the movie (for example: location scouts, sponsorship/funding updates, Directors' insights, live Q&A sessions with us) that we could potentially cover?

Social Media: Our audience is who we make this for. At this early stage it's also what our potential distributors, cast, investors and sponsors are looking at as they evaluate our film for opportunities. If you are active on social media, consider following our film on Facebook and Instagram, and sharing the posts with your friends. Nothing helps spread the word more effectively than word-of-mouth.

Updates - "13 Miles" /

Increased Viewership: We’ve had an amazing response to releasing "13 Miles" on YouTube! This has also led to increased views on Prime and Tubi, showcasing the film to a wider audience.

Investors & Conversations: The success of "13 Miles" is proving invaluable as we engage potential investors and sponsorships for "The Quiet Canadians". The film's performance has demonstrated our ability to create compelling stories with a modest budget, serving as a great conversation starter.

Reviews Matter: Positive reviews are crucial for our projects. If you enjoyed "13 Miles", please consider leaving a review on IMDb. If you watch the movie on YouTube, consider "liking" the movie and subscribing to the channel, plus sharing it with others. You can also reply to this email with your review, and we’d love to feature it on our website. Strong ratings, especially 8/10 or higher, "likes" and shares significantly enhance a film’s exposure and reach. As we said above, word-of-mouth is playing a huge role, not just in "13 Miles" success, but in our ability to market "The Quiet Canadians".

Behind-the-Scenes - "Unfrayed" / Short Film

Crowdfunding Success: We’re thrilled to share that we surpassed our goal of $15,000 and raised over $16,000 in 30 days through our Indiegogo campaign. This two-person western promises a gripping narrative set against a rugged backdrop, and we can't wait to start filming on September 28, 2024. We're grateful for all the support and excitement from everyone!

Post Production Updates - "Pickled Rabbit" / Short Film

Progress Report: After a successful crowdfunding campaign on Seed&Spark, "Pickled Rabbit" has moved into post-production. We've completed the editing phase and are diving into visual effects. Next up, our talented team will be working on music composition, sound design, and colour grading. This quirky and imaginative story is coming together beautifully, and we can't wait to share it with you.
